The first physical meeting of Project NEON passed in Klagenfurt on 2-5 May 2022. As part of the agenda, the project participants visited the industrial giant Infineon in Villach. Infineon is the leader in the Automotive, Industrial Power Control sectors, but also the company has an interest in the domain of IoT. The project partners had the opportunity to visit several Infineon labs, speak with its employees, and have an inspiring tour inside a recently built fully automated chip production workshop. We hope such visits will be continued in the future, leading to more fruitful joint cooperation between academia and industry.
